When an employee dies
(DSSR 040r) while assigned to a post in a foreign area, agencies should review
the allowances under these regulations that may be available for surviving
family members (DSSR 040m). They are: Temporary Quarters
Subsistence Allowance (DSSR 126.3); Living Quarters Allowance [DSSR 132.2b(3)];
Home Service Transfer Allowance (DSSR 251.1a & b); and Education Allowance
(DSSR 276.10).
